The service was ok until I called and told them that we will be moving out in a few days. And Crystal: She's just like the glass: precious and shines!! While I have found all the Public storage staff to be OK, Merinda is 10+. I did not feel rushed or pushed because it was near the end of the day. YES!! Summary: staff went above and beyond to help. They found a smaller unit for me that fit into my current budget.
They worked together until the problem was solved. NO, instead I was welcomed with a huge smile by Merinda who greeted me by name and said, "How can I help?" With her usual efficiency, she looked in the computer, and along with Crystal, the other representative present, offered suggested new units. I walked in at 4:50 PM they close at five! I really expected a one eyed glance that would have said "ten minutes before closing, REALLY?". I needed, mid month, to change my unit to a smaller unit because of a change of finances. When staff addresses a concern that is uncommon or not the usual situation and the customer walks out with a smile, singing "We are Family", that's amore!!!! That was me earlier. When everything goes smoothly in a transaction, that is a three star performance. They have facilities across the continental US and parts of Canada. Without a doubt, I'm thrilled that I chose Public Storage.
It's also very clean and they have carts available during office hours. The place is well lit both inside and out. She walked to my unit, showed me the best and quickest way to gain access to my unit, and as we walked through the property, Emily pointed out all the safe measures they take to ensure everyone's safety. Emily did a great job as I was in a hurry to move my things in. She and Diana both were very personable, efficient, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Diana very efficiently and quickly helped me go through, read and understand the automated documents/contract that I had to sign. I immediately met with Emily and Diana, the manager. The facility is a lot larger than I imagined. He then gave me the name, address, phone number and the name of my contact at the location I chose. The representative was courteous, upbeat, and extremely helpful. I called the main office to help me decide on the size of the unit, the best location for me and found out that they were offering a promotion, just $1 for the first month. I researched several storage facilities and I'm so glad I chose to use Public Storage in Gaithersburg, Md. I highly recommend Public Storage hands down.
